Furman University seeks applicants for the True Artist in Residency, a six-week program for Spring 2018 term.

The program awards one residency per academic year for a visiting artist/designer to work at the school, developing new work in collaboration with students and faculty. The residency period is typically six weeks, however the artist is welcome to submit an additional proposal for a full-semester course; this course would be compensated according to current adjunct rates at the University. The residency provides students with an alternative learning opportunity to engage with practicing artists/designers. The culmination of this residency is an exhibition and presentation for the Furman and Greenville community.

Artist would receive a $6,000 stipend.
