The Lowe Art Museum seeks 2D art/works-on-paper for a juried competition in conjunction with a forthcoming exhibition on Caribbean maps entitled Antillean Visions, which opens on February 1, 2018. Submissions must engage with the theme of the larger exhibition: maps, cartography, or geography in/of the Caribbean region. 

Submissions are limited to two (2) works per artist. The jury seeks entries by professional artists, as well as students enrolled in a studio arts program at a recognized university, college, or arts school. Winners will be notified in early October. Selected artworks must be delivered (at the sender’s expense) to the Lowe Art Museum already framed, glazed, and ready-to-hang. Failure to do so will eliminate the entry. 

Professional-quality photographs of all entries must be digitally submitted/emailed to caribbeanmapshow@gmail.com by September 1, 2017. A cash reward will be awarded to Grand Prize winner(s).
