Atlanta Photography Group is now taking submissions for our upcoming exhibition, “Portfolio 2018” The Atlanta Photography Group is looking for strong, cohesive bodies of work for exhibition. We will consider still images from all processes, both traditional and digital.  As we receive submissions, APG will post some of the images to our Instagram, tumblr and twitter. This year’s juror, Sam Barzily, the creative director of United Photo Industries and the co-founder of Photoville, will select one body of work each from 6-8 artists for exhibition.  All exhibiting artists will be eligible for the 2017 APG/High Museum of Art Purchase Award of $2500, which includes admittance into the High Museum permanent collection.

Juror Sam Barzilay:

Currently serving as Creative Director of United Photo Industries – a New York based art-presenting organization promoting a wider understanding of photography –  Sam Barzilay is also the co-founder of Photoville, a photographic gathering that has rapidly become among the largest and best-attended photo festivals in North America. Sam is also one of the founding producers of the T3 Photo Festival, in Tokyo, Japan.
