The Cultural Arts Program at the Roth Family Jewish Community Center in Maitland, FL seeks to engage our community through contemporary art that is relevant to Jewish identity, as well as provide a platform for Jewish creatives to share their work. As part of our new Cultural Arts Series, we are presenting 24x a Second, a program of video artworks shown as a permanent, constantly rotating presentation on a 45” monitor in a highly trafficked hallway in our facility, as well as presented during a screening at a yearly opening. Selected videos will be on display for a calendar year.

We seek submissions from video artists who create work relevant and of interest to the Jewish Community, as well as artists working in broader themes who identify as Jewish. A few themes of interest include:

·         Ritual and Tradition

·         Community

·         Diaspora

·         Family

·         Law and Tradition

·         To Question

·         Mitzvah and Tzydakeh

·         Assimilation
