Deadline: Fri, March 2nd, 2018
Island Press is a fine art print publishing workshop at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. Island Press offers one-month summer internship opportunities for students and artists interested in print collaboration and arts administration. Summer internships are unpaid, but interns receive an honorarium of $1,000 to help offset living expenses. The dates are June 1-30, 2018.
Interns work as assistant printers, editioning projects by past visiting artists and performing other duties related to the operation of the press. Interns will also work in support of the 2018 Emerging Artist Fellowship, assisting in the development of that project while the emerging fellow is in residence at the end of June. Interns work under the supervision of Tom Reed, master printer, and Lisa Bulawsky, director.
