REVEALED is an all-media exhibition that aims to examine the relevance and value of self-portraiture, through the individual artist’s varied approach to self-representation. The exhibition is open to all artists, national and international, over 18 years of age. The exhibition is juried by Nicole Down, Program Manager for Halcyon Arts Lab.

Entry Fee: $25 for three artworks; $10 for each additional piece
Awards: Juror’s Choice $100; Director’s Choice $75

Artist Notification: Monday, March 12, 2018
Artwork Delivery: Monday, April 2, 2018
Exhibition: April 6-29, 2018
Opening Reception: Friday April 6th, 6-9pm

About the Juror: Nicole Dowd is a passionate believer in the catalytic power of the arts. As program manager of the Halcyon Arts Lab, she aims to connect socially-engaged artists with the resources and support structure needed to hone their artistic and entrepreneurial skills and create change through community-based art practices. Prior to joining the Halcyon team, Nicole worked with local emerging artists at Hamiltonian Artists where she managed a two-year fellowship program dedicated to career cultivation and artistic mentorship. In addition she organized free public professional development lectures and workshops for the D.C. arts community. She received a combined B.A. in fine art and art history from George Washington University and then went on to pursue a master’s degree in exhibition design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design. She currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Board for the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at GWU, which aims to preserve and strengthen the creative alumni community.
