Call for Artists

The Arts Council of Wayne County in North Carolina is extending an invitation to US Military Veterans to exhibit their artwork in our gallery as part of The VetStories Project; a multi-faceted visual and performing arts experience. The VetStories Project will include an art exhibit from May 18 - May 31st and a stage performance based on the lives and stories of military veterans on Sunday, May 27th, in Goldsboro, NC. All mediums and genres are will be accepted for judging.   

To participate in the exhibit:

1. Email us a high-resolution jpeg photo of your artwork. Please save the file titled with your last name and the title of the piece. EX: WalkerNameOfPainting.jpg

2. In the body of the Email include the title, medium, and dimensions of the piece.

3. Include your name, physical address, phone number, and Email address.

4. Please note your preferred method of contact.

5. Emails must be sent to gallery.acwc@gmail.com by Midnight April 13, 2018.

6. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces. A $15 entry fee will be charged for each piece of artwork entered in the exhibit. Artists participating in this exhibit will receive a complimentary Family Pack of Tickets to the stage presentation of VetStories; a $40.00 value. Entry fees may be paid online at our website (https://app.mobilecause.com/form/ub7ZDg?utm_source=embed&utm_medium=page&utm_campaign=donation), by phone if using a card (919-736-3300), or sent in by physical check (see address below). Artists can also register their pieces and pay by texting VETSTORIES to 41444.

The fine print... Entries are open to Veterans across the United States. Artists will receive a notification by email about the juror’s decision. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibit. Artists must have insurance policies for their own artwork. Accepted artwork can be delivered in person between May 7 - 15th, to the Arts Council of Wayne County 102 N. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
