Renaissance Society of America–Kress Foundation Research Funding for Art Historians

Thanks to a generous grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Renaissance Society of America has up to fourteen fellowships available for art historians working in the field of Renaissance studies (1300–1700). These include the Samuel H. Kress Mid-Career Research and Publication Fellowships and the Samuel H. Kress Short-Term Research Library Fellowships, one at each of the following host institutions:
Bodleian Library, Oxford University, UK; Centro Vittore Branca at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice, Italy
Centre for Reformation & Renaissance Studies, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, DC
Newberry Library, Chicago, IL
Huntington Library, San Marino, CA
New York Public Library, New York, NY
Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale University, CT
University of California Los Angeles, Special Collections, Los Angeles, CA
Fellowships are available for scholars of all levels, including ABD graduate students, though some are restricted to those already holding the PhD or senior scholars.
