 Eco Gallery: Request for Proposals ($10,000 Budget)

Old Forge, New York (December 4, 2018)

 

View Arts is requesting proposals for a new addition to our Eco Gallery. The chosen design will be created by an artist or design team and featured as the first element of the Eco Gallery. The project is funded for $10,000 and the budget must include all supplies and artists time for the project. Interested artists should submit one to five sketches of their idea along with a short paragraph description to: jgardner@viewarts.org. A committee will decide on three artists or teams to advance to the second round where they will be paid to develop a full proposal of the their project.
Deadline for first round submissions is January 4, 2019.

 

The Eco Gallery will feature semi-permanent installations that explore the intersection of art and nature. The first design should feature the following elements for consideration. A large flat workspace and a sculptural element that references a tree and can hold books and art supplies.
