Experimental Weaving Residency in CU Boulder's Unstable Design Lab

The Unstable Design Lab at CU Boulder in Boulder, Colorado will host a 6-week residency in the summer of 2019 (dates are flexible). The residency seeks fiber artists with an interest or established record in engaging computation in their practice.
The selected researcher-in-residence (RiR) will be invited to collaborate with university researchers and local partners to conceptualize and develop textiles that engage technology in their design, production, or concept. Applicants from a variety of backgrounds will be considered for this residency but experience with weaving or textiles is required.
Thanks to the generous support of the Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design the RiR will receive free housing, a stipend of $3,750, and up to $1,000 to support travel to and from the residency.
