 THE HISTORIC STUDIOS ANNOUNCES A NEW RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY

The 6-Month Residency at the Historic Studios in Roswell, New Mexico is designed for working professional artists and curators. We especially encourage tenured art faculty on sabbatical to apply as they are unable to partake in our one-year artist-in-residence grant. This residency gives professional artists a chance to live in the southwest, work in an artists community, and explore New Mexico. We require a statement describing how this residency will benefit your work, 3 references and a link to your portfolio.

The fees to attend the 6-Month residency are $1,500 per month, which includes a furnished two bedroom house with an office (including dishes, linens and a shared laundry facility), a private 600 sq. foot studio with North light and access to Roswell’s vibrant art community with openings, art talks and local community events. Artists are invited to have an open studio and give an art talk if they wish.
