The exhibition will take place during the 4th WWU’s Bridging Differences-Conversations on Gender and Race Symposium, which premiered in March 2016. Artists are invited to submit art that explores their understanding on how issues of gender and race and their intersectionality influence and are expressed in contemporary culture.
Awards: Best of Show, 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place

Deadline: August 31, 2019
Closing reception and awards: October 22, 2019 , 4-6 p.m.
Exhibition Dates: October 1-31, 2019
Pick-up artwork: November 1-3, 2019
Steps:
1. Download the entry form at http://www.williamwoods.edu/coxartgallery
2. Fill out and mail/email the form along with your image submissions to nicole.petrescu@williamwoods.edu
3. Call in, fax or mail your entry fee no later than August 31 2019
Eligibility: Open to artists and art students nationwide
Media: Open to all traditional and non-traditional genre and media (2D, 3D, digital)
Artists are invited to submit up to three artworks.
For (digital) new media submissions, the artist is responsible for providing the required technology needed for the presentation/installation of the artwork.
Awards: The jurors will select first, second and third place awards.
Exhibition Jurors: Nicole Petrescu and Jane Mudd, faculty members at William Woods University
Submission required information:
Artist’s name Hi-res images of submitted works (JPEG preferred)
· Uploaded files should not exceed 2mb and should be identified by the artist’s first initial and last name, number 01, 02, or 03 and title
(Example: npetrescu_01_color-blindness)
Phone number, email and address Title, medium, price and final dimensions (includes frame/matting) of each work to be exhibited Entry fee Submissions with missing information will not get a response.
Guidelines and restrictions
- Artists are responsible for the delivery and the pick-up of the artwork according to the schedule
- Mildred M. Cox Gallery charges a 10 percent commission on gallery sales to support the gallery operational expenses and educational programming.
