Call for Papers

CICA Museum invites creative writers, scholars, and artists worldwide to participate in the CICA New Media Art Conference 2020 and the publication. We are open to proposals for paper presentations, workshops, experimental sessions, as well as artistic performance. Selected essays will be featured in the book “New Media Art 2021,” expected to be published in December 2020. The book will be available in major bookstores in Korea, and in the United States and other countries via Amazon.

 

*This year’s categories include:

-Single Channel Video & Animation

-New Media Installations

-Interactive Art

-Game Art

-Web Art

-Mobile App

-Art and Social Media

-Art and Mass Media

-Data Visualization

-3D Printing

-Performance (Addressing Media Related Issues)

-New Media Culture

 

* How to submit:

-Please send us an abstract (300-600 words) with a short bio. Please email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”

-Prefered format: DOC or PDF

-Please write “Submission: CICA NMAC 2020 – Proposal – Artist/Writer’s Name” in the subject line of your email.

 

* Timeline:

February 3, 2020: Close submissions

February 7 – 28, 2020 Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.

June 18 – 21, 2020: CICA NMA Conference 2020

December 15, 2020: Expected publication date of “New Media Art 2021”

Call for Exhibitions

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the Solo Exhibition Series for the CICA New Media Art Conference 2020 and the publication. Selected artists will have solo exhibitions in the gallery space. Around 44 square meters will be assigned for each artist. Selected artists will participate in the conference and have artists’ talks and discussions, and also be featured in the book “New Media Art 2021,” expected to be published in December 2020. The book will be available in major bookstores in Korea, and in the United States and other countries via Amazon.
