Autobiography/Performance/Identity will take place March 5 and 6, 2010 at the David C. Driskell Center and the University of Maryland University College. The symposium takes a close look at some of the themes and issues that black female artists have been engaging over the latter part of the twentieth century. The symposium will address critical issues of performaitivty and autobiography in the work black female artists from North America, the Caribbean and Africa.
