How would you visually convey the art of Universal Design?
Universal Design is the design of products, environments, and communication to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. The Social Model of Disability suggests that it is society, and the barriers that exist in society, that cause an individual with physical or psychological differences to be disabled. More recent approaches to disability studies supplement that theory with an affirmative orientation, which promotes positive perceptions of diverse abilities through an emphasis on advantageous aspects of impairment and disability.
Any art medium, as well as architecture and landscape designs will be accepted for consideration. Email: email@example.com for more info or download prospectus: http://craftstudio.missouri.edu/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Art-of-Universal-Design-Prospectus.pdf
