Type: Exhibition Opportunities [View all]
Posted by: Cleveland State Community College
The two week artist residency will take place in Cleveland, Tennessee during the last two weeks of October. In addition to the creation of new works of art, the residency will also include weekly films, lectures, demonstrations and discussions involving the community, artists, students, and information technologists in a dialogue that brings awareness to the connections between technology, art and culture.
Interested artists should work primarily with new media (film, video, interactive works, computer generated, reactive, internet, robotics, lasers, projection, video game, Arduino, Max, etc). Five artists will be chosen to spend two weeks on campus working with students in the creation of a new work of art for public display. All meals, housing and a small stipend are included. A printed catalog will also be produced (pending funding).
