PROTEST THRU ART will be an exhibition that aims to celebrate and exemplify the union of political protest and the artistic process/product. The exhibition builds on the tradition of using art as a method of organizing within the larger community, and visualizing the possibilities for a more fair future. PROTEST THRU ART seeks work that challenges the status quo and the injustices of our society.

This call for entries welcomes work such as posters, installation, puppets, sculpture, photography and documentation of socially concerned performances and installations, as well as documentation of protests or protest art in action.

All work should be formatted as 300dpi jpg and submitted to protestthruart2012@gmail.com by August 20th. Emails subject lines should display Yourname_protestthruart. Participating Artists will recieve notification of acceptance by August 31st. Show will open on September 7th.
