CAA’s Professional-Development Fellowships in Visual Arts support promising artists enrolled in MFA programs nationwide. Fellows will each be honored with a $5,000 grant to help them with various aspects of their work, whether it be for job-search expenses or purchasing materials for the studio. CAA believes a grant of this kind, without contingencies, best facilitates the transition between graduate studies and professional careers. Fellows also receive a free one-year CAA membership and complimentary Annual Conference registration for New York.
Applicants must be current CAA members and US citizens or permanent residents. They must also anticipate receiving their MFA degree in calendar year 2013 and have outstanding capabilities and experience and demonstrate distinction in approach, technique, or perspective in their contribution to the visual arts.
