"Misperception" is a juried exhibit open to artists 21+ in St. Louis, MO region & 200 mile radius (Kansas City & Chicago NOT eligible). Works that explore misperception, incl. but not limited to: artworks that aren’t exactly what we think they are; trompe l’oiel & works that fool the eye physically, conceptually or any other way; works that appear to be one media but are really something else, such as a photograph that looks like a painting or a painting that looks like a photograph, a ceramic piece that looks as if it is made of glass, etc.; artworks that deal with concepts of being misunderstood, misleading behavior, even betrayal. All interpretations, techniques & styles encouraged. Jurors: St. Louis artists Linda Skrainka & Ken Wood, Asst. Professor of Art, St. Louis Community College, Meramec. Limit 2 artworks created 2010-2012. Rules of entry on entry form. Entry form required. Juried by JPEGs on CD. Entry fee. Insurance. Show: Jan. 14-Feb. 21, 2013. www.artsaintlouis.org
