Artist residencies are available to any artist who is prepared to work independently and whose artistic processes can be supported by the Guild’s facilities. Residents receive lodging, meals, & work space at the Guild in exchange for 15 hours/week of volunteer service during their stay. Residencies may last from 3 weeks to 6 months.

For 32 years, the Guild has offered a range of arts programming, including classes, residencies, & retreats. Located in the North Central Cascades, the Guild is an intentional community with shared living spaces & a rhythm of shared meals & activities. Residencies include opportunities to participate in the Guild community as well as time for independent work & reflection. The Grunewald Guild is grounded in ecumenical Christian hospitality, and welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
