We are excited to announce the exhibition, ENDANGERED EARTH - a timely exhibit that speaks to the environmental emergency we are witnessing. Curated by artists Ann R. Shapiro and M. Annenberg, ENDANGERED EARTH will be part of the Ceres Gallery Exposure Program from December 9 – December 12, 2019.

We would like you to consider applying for this exhibition.  As Exposure is a fundraiser for Ceres, a non-profit gallery, every accepted artist will be asked to contribute $300 and also be responsible for installing and de-installing their own work, although help in hanging and packing will be provided.


There is no fee to apply and no commission is taken on sales.


Each accepted applicant will have a wall or partial wall, between 12 and 17 running feet with 10’3" ceilings at Ceres Gallery 547 West 27th Street, NYC Suite #201for one week. Reception to be held on Thursday evening from 6-8pm. There is room for one sculptor and nine painters and other 2D media. Cards will also be provided.


Ceres Gallery is a feminist, not-for-profit alternative gallery in New York City, dedicated to the promotion of contemporary women in the arts.


Basic Information:


To apply send 2-4 images in the form of .jpgs of relevant work and a short paragraph about the work as well as your name, mail and email address and phone number to  Final date for consideration of your work is

July 12, 2019.

We will notify you of your acceptance by July 31.  You must then send a check for $300 made out to Ceres Gallery, 547 West 27th Street, Suite 201 NYC, NY 10001 no later than August 14, 2019.

Exhibition dates: December 10-14, 2019

Monday, December 9: Hanging 

Thursday, December 12: Reception

Saturday, December 14: Take down after 6pm
