Open Call for submissions to a limited edition arts publication.
The publication will be a unique and limited hand-bound art book edited and produced by anhelo anhelo.
Fee: There is no fee to submit work
anhelo anhelo is based in Detroit.
Local and international artists are encouraged to apply
Deadline for submissions is 01 Sept 2020
Media: 2D visual media and written work
Submit up to 3 works
The Publication will be launched at the end of October in conjunction with the culminating installation of the Marigold Project.
Entries can be visual including but not limited to photographs, illustrations, prints, digital or traditional. Or written including but not limited to poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction. Primarily seeking work in Spanish or English*.
*Applicants wishing to submit work in their native language other than Spanish and English may do so. If submitting a piece in a language other than Spanish or English please send a translation for editing/curating purposes. The translation does not necessarily need to be integrated into the final work if this is not your vision.
Chosen artists and writers will receive a $50 honorarium and a free copy of the finished publication. Must be able to receive payment via paypal or venmo.
Applicants will be notified if their work is chosen in September at which time final/full size files will be requested if applicable.

Specifications: Files for written work can be submitted in PDF or Document format, 10 page limit. Images should be JPEGS, no larger than 2MB. Submit up to 3 works total.
