 ATTENTION CERAMIC ARTISTS: Rocky River Public Library and the Cowan Pottery Museum are looking for our inaugural Cowan Featured Artist.

Cowan Featured Artist was created in the spirit of R. Guy Cowan’s and the Cowan Pottery Studio’s commitment to providing artists opportunities. The selected artist will have their work featured in the Library’s Community Case during the month of December 2021 and commit to presenting two virtual programs, a public artist talk and a presentation for the Teen Cowan Club on how to talk about and discuss their work.

Selected artist will have access to the Community Case during normal operating hours starting on December 1st. The case is 72” wide, 62” tall, and 19” deep and features moveable glass shelves and upholstered backing. The selected artists will receive a $200 honorarium at the completion of the project. The artist will be selected by members of the RRPL staff and will be notified by June 7th. The Rocky River Public Library and the Cowan Pottery Museum does not cover shipping or travel costs. This call is open to all artists 18 years and older who use clay as a medium.
