Brick City Gallery on the campus of Missouri State University invites entries for an exhibition of GIF artworks that address "the poetic". Artists are encourages all works in GIF format created within the last two years.

"What does it mean to be poetic? What does it mean for an idea, an experience, or a thing to be poetic? Can the depth and emotional capacity of poetry be borrowed to better understand and explore other areas of inquiry or life? Explore the concept of the poetic through art in GIF form."

All submissions should be sent in a .gif format with dimensions no larger than 1920 pixels in width and 1080 pixels in height. These entries should be submitted via email (BCJennings@MissouriState.edu) along with your full name, title of piece, and date.

Important Dates:

Entries Due: August 6th, 2021

Artists notified: August 9th, 2021

Exhibition opens: August 16th

Exhibition closes: September 17

Closing Reception: September 3, 2021
