Juried Call for Installation Art: Open to Truth and Change

Gallery 220 is looking for site-specific installation or interactive art projects for an upcoming exhibit. Artwork should explore the concept of changing perceptions. Special consideration will be given to site-specific proposals in which the viewer can be immersed. Interactive and socially engaged projects are also highly encouraged.

Submit a written proposal that includes:

·         A detailed description of your concept

·         Size

·         Materials

·         Method of installation

·         Locations (reference attached gallery floorplan)

·         Site restoration plans (if necessary)

**Failure to include any of the above details in an artist’s proposal may result in exclusion of that artist from the review process.

 

Please send a proposal and (3) examples of your work to havredegraceartscollective@gmail.com with the subject header: “CALL FOR ARTISTS_[Your Name]” by Thursday, June 15, 2023.

 

Artists will be notified of selection by Saturday, July 1, 2023. The exhibition will run from Friday, July 28, 2023 through Sunday, September 17, 2023. 

 

Work will be installed by the artists with assistance from gallery staff the week prior and must remain installed for the entire duration of the exhibit. Artists will also be expected to attend opening and closing receptions tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 28th and Sunday, September 17th.
