Independent & Image Art Space (Chongqing, China) is happy to announce a group exhibition open call “Surreal Photography: Illusions and Dreams”.
The "Surreal Photography: Illusions and Dreams" exhibition aims to explore the intersection between reality, illusions, and dreams, presenting a visual experience that transcends the ordinary. Inspired by the realms of dreams and illusions, photographers use various techniques and unique perspectives to create images that are both familiar and fantastical.
The exhibition places no restrictions on photographic techniques or styles, encouraging photographers to unleash their creativity and depict the beauty and mystery of the surreal. Whether through multiple exposures, light and shadow play, mirror effects, or post-processing, photographers will capture and recreate those dreamlike moments. These works are not just records of reality but attempts to reveal the hidden illusions and dreams behind everyday life.
This exhibition seeks to showcase the limitless possibilities of photographic art in representing surreal themes. We look forward to seeing how photographers reveal the beauty of illusions and dreams in surreal photography, inspiring a deeper appreciation and contemplation of the art of photography.

ELIGIBLE SUBMISSION
Artists are invited to submit 1-10 photography works responding to the theme, without limit to genres, techniques, and styles.
FOR SELECTED ARTIST
Artworks will be printed (Epson giclée print) and framed by us and shown in the group exhibition;
Chinese-English bilingual online feature on our website;
Chinese-English bilingual digital catalog;
Chinese-English bilingual promotion on Chinese and international social media.
COPYRIGHT
The artist retains the sole copyright for the images;
Submitted images can be available for public viewing on our website and social media, including in relation to promotional activities for the exhibition;
All display images will be credited with the artist’s name.
FEES
$80 up to 10 works;
Submission fees are non-refundable.
