CAA’s Advertising and Sponsorship Guidelines

CAA reviews and decide whether to accept advertising and sponsorships under guidelines as set forth herein (“Guidelines”). These Guidelines govern advertisements placed or displayed on any CAA-controlled or CAA-originated media or content, including CAA and CAA-affiliated Websites (the “Sites”), in e-mail communications or other social media (“Digital Communications”) and any print materials that CAA, or a third party on CAA’s behalf, distributes or publishes, including written materials and CAA’s publications (“Print Materials”). They also govern sponsorships of any CAA activity or program.

CAA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse to accept, cancel or remove any advertisement or sponsorship for any Sites, Digital Communications and Print Materials, or any other CAA activity or program, for any lawful reason, including where CAA determines that acceptance would be incompatible with CAA’s mission or its own standards and guidelines or would otherwise be contrary to the interests of its members and supporters. CAA has sole and absolute discretion with respect to interpretation and enforcement of these Guidelines. CAA may change these Guidelines at any time in its sole discretion and, if it does so, it will endeavor to promptly post the revised Guidelines.

The views expressed in a third-party advertisement on the Sites, in Digital Communications and in Printed Materials, or held by any sponsors of a CAA activity or program, are solely the views of such third party. The placement or display of such advertisements, or CAA’s acceptance of such sponsorship, does not imply endorsement by CAA or any of its officers, directors, employees or members with respect to the third party, such views or any product or service being advertised. CAA is not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party advertisements.

Without limiting CAA’s sole and absolute right to accept or reject any advertisement or sponsorship for any reason, CAA will not accept any advertising or a sponsorship a) for or in connection with the promotion of any illegal or objectionable products or services or that otherwise violates any applicable United States or foreign law or regulation, b) that contains or is associated by the third-party advertiser or sponsor with any content (text or images) that is offensive or objectionable to any individual or group of individuals based on age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or handicap or is otherwise inconsistent with CAA’s Values Statement on Diversity and Inclusion, or c) is not in good taste.

In the event CAA decides to reject, cancel, or remove any advertising or sponsorship, CAA will endeavor to provide adequate notice to the advertiser or sponsor.

Advertisers and sponsors are solely responsible to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the United States and any other country in which the Sites may be displayed, to which Digital Communications and Printed Materials may be distributed, or in which CAA programs or activities may be conducted.
