Shoestring Studio is a membership-based workspace serving painters, draftsmen, illustrators, and other artists in need of workspace, community, and shared resources. Our primary mission is to provide affordable, accessible studio space for artists in Crown Heights and the greater Brooklyn area. Membership is an excellent opportunity for international and visiting artists to enjoy the benefits of the artistic community and a shared studio space during their time in New York.
In addition to the open format studio, the co-op affords you the opportunity to join in on two weekly figure drawing sessions, participate in critique nights and submit proposals for member exhibitions in the gallery. We also have an ongoing roster of studio classes.
We are open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, from noon until ten. Membership is $180 per month, artists who commit to six months pay $160/ month. To read more about membership and classes, visit the website: http://shoestringstudiony.com
