Solo Exhibition - Drawing-based studio practice

Ohio University’s Eastern Campus Art Gallery is seeking solo exhibit proposals for works produced in drawing-based practice for an upcoming exhibit in February or March, 2018. The OU Eastern Campus Gallery is located near St. Clairsville, OH and is operated by the Cultural Life and Diversity Committee. The Gallery is comprised of a single room of 950 square feet with 113 running feet of wall space and some display stands are available. While the gallery does not offer a stipend for travel/shipping, some funds are typically available to artists interested in giving an artist talk, demonstration or lecture.  

Artists interested in applying should format and submit the following in a SINGLE multipage .pdf document no larger than 25 MB:

·       Up to 15-20 quality digital images that are representative of the work proposed for the exhibit. Artworks submitted must be made in the last seven years and accepted work must faithfully correspond to the images provided.

·       A corresponding image list with work titles, media, dates and sizes

·       A brief artist statement/exhibition proposal, 500 words or less.

·       CV or Resume that includes past exhibitions. 

Portfolios for review or inquiries for additional information should be emailed to the Art Gallery Director, Whitney Sage by December 15th, 2017 at OUEArtGallery@ohio.edu. Portfolios that do not meet the formatting criteria above will not be considered. Selected artists will be notified by December 30th, 2017.
