Thorsgata Creative Residency is a respite for artists around the globe to work on their craft and develop their creative careers. The residence is located in the heart of historic downtown Reykjavík, steps from the city’s main attractions and a stone’s throw from the intense natural wonders that define the Icelandic landscape.

The mission of the residency is to provide an artistic dwelling within one of the world’s most inspirational and creative communities. We welcome applications from artists working in all media, with a special devotion to emerging and established writers.

Residents are welcome for stays of between one and four weeks. Exceptions can be made for those wishing to stay longer, based on applications and compelling artistic reasons for an extended stay.
