Kent Blossom Art Intensives

Type: Residencies, Workshops, Exchanges [View all]
Posted by: Kent State University School of Art
Deadline: Tue, April 30th, 2019

Kent Blossom Art Intensives (KBAI) provide students and individual artists with two weeks of focused learning, experimentation and creation under the guidance of experienced artists from around the country. Students may continue their explorations of the medium most familiar to them; experienced artists are equally encouraged to discover new modes of creating. Similar to an artist residency, participants create a self-directed body of artwork and have the additional benefits of open discussions and professional mentorship.

This year we are offering intensives in glass, print media, sculpture and expanded media, textiles, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, and ceramics.  Participants work with resident faculty and visiting artists every day throughout the duration of the intensive.

Undergraduate and graduate credit tuition rates apply.

Individual artists can participate for a non-credit tuition rate of $1,100.  On-campus and off-campus housing options are available.

Application Deadline: April 30, 2019
