Create! Magazine is thrilled to announce an international open call for Issue #53 (Fall 2025), juried by Emily McElwreath—contemporary art advisor, curator, educator, and host of The Art Career Podcast.

We are seeking submissions from artists working across all media and styles. 30–35 selected artists will be featured in our print and digital magazine and promoted to our global audience of over 300,000 creatives.

 

Selected Artists Will Receive:

A custom-designed two-page spread in Create! Magazine Issue #53 (print + digital)

Promotion across our social media, newsletter, and web platforms

A complimentary digital edition of the magazine

Professional design and editorial support (with layout review prior to print)

Lasting visibility to curators, collectors, and art world professionals

 

About the Juror
Emily McElwreath is the founder of McElwreath Art Advisory and host of The Art Career Podcast. With over 18 years of experience, she has worked with institutions including The Whitney Museum, The Met, and Sotheby’s Institute of Art. She previously served as Director of Communications and Education at The Brant Foundation. In 2025, she will curate Luminous Forms at Ucross Foundation.

Open to artists worldwide

All media and styles accepted

No education requirement

Submission Guidelines

Submit up to 10 artworks (JPEGs, 300 dpi recommended)

Include a 300-word bio and 300-word artist statement

Previously exhibited or published work is accepted

Artwork does not need to be for sale

 

Deadline: June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST
Notifications: By August 30, 2025
Print Release: Fall 2025 (Date TBA)

There are no additional publication fees for selected artists. Layouts will be reviewed by artists prior to printing.
