CAA 113th Annual Conference
New York City, February 12–15, 2025 

GENERAL INFORMATION 

The CAA Annual Conference is the largest convening of art historians, artists, designers, curators, and visual arts professionals. Each year we offer sessions submitted by our members, committees, and affiliated societies that deliver a wide range of program content. Read more about the history of the program here. 

The CAA 113th Annual Conference will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown, New York City, February 12–15, 2025. The conference will be held in person with a selection of hybrid sessions and events. CAA leadership, in collaboration with the Annual Conference Committee, is reviewing participant and attendee feedback from the 112th Annual Conference to determine any format adjustments needed for the 2025 program. Updates will be communicated as they become available.

Note for CAA Committees and CAA Affiliated Societies: Although Committees and Affiliated Societies receive a guaranteed session at CAA Annual Conferences, nonetheless all participation rules apply to those session participants.

KEY DATES  

  • The session, workshop, and presentation submissions portal for the CAA 113th Annual Conference closed April 25, 2024.   
  • Mid July: Submitters notified of acceptance or rejection. 
  • July 22–August 29: Call for Participation opens; chairs of accepted sessions soliciting contributors accept presentation proposals directly from submitters. 
  • September 16: Deadline for chairs of sessions soliciting contributors to make their decisions, directly notify their accepted presenters, and add to session entry. 
  • Early October: Conference Schedule announced, and Registration opens. 
  • December 5, 2024: Access accommodation requests for in-person and/or remote participants due to CAA (info@collegeart.org). 
  • February 12–15, 2025: CAA 113th Annual Conference
