CAA Professional Development Fellowship in Art History
The CAA Professional Development Fellowship in Art History supports art, architecture, and design historians, curators, and critics who recently received a PhD or are in the final year of their PhD program.
ELIGIBILITY + OTHER INFORMATION
- Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must have recently earned a PhD or must be in the final year of their PhD program.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
- A CAA individual member ID or non-member ID is required to apply. Create an account here or contact the CAA membership department if you need assistance
- Each fellow is granted an unrestricted award of $10,000.
- Fellows and honorable mentions receive free CAA memberships for one year and complimentary registration to attend the next Annual Conference.
- Scholars from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- CV
- Personal essay (four double-spaced pages maximum; 12 point font)
- Dissertation prospectus
- Completed dissertation chapter
- Expected date of dissertation completion (if applicable)
- Two letters of recommendation (please also include contact information of recommenders)
