Terra Foundation Travel Grants for Underrepresented Scholars of American Art
For CAA113, CAA will award a limited number of $2000 travel grants and CAA membership for one year to historically underrepresented scholars of American art. This travel support, funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art, encourages participation by scholars whose work contributes meaningfully to expanding or transforming understanding of American art. Those who have been previously excluded from American art and scholarship narratives, practices, and presentations will be prioritized. Underrepresented groups include but are not limited to scholars at minority serving institutions, diasporic scholars, scholars with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ scholars, first generation college graduates, formerly incarcerated scholars, and other groups who will contribute to intersectional, inclusive dialogues at the CAA Annual Conference.
