2019 Edition of the ICAA Peter C. Marzio Award

The International Center for the Arts of the Americas, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is proud to invite undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in universities in the US and abroad to apply for the 2018 edition of the Peter C. Marzio Award for Outstanding Research in 20th-Century Latin American and Latino Art. Named for the late, longtime director of the MFAH, who founded the ICAA in 2001, the award recognizes new scholarship in the field of 20th-century Latin American and Latino art. A prize of $2,500 will be granted to a graduate student, and $1,000 to an undergraduate student (or honorable mention), who each produce outstanding academic papers based on the newly published primary-source materials available from the digital archive Documents of 20th-century Latin American and Latino Art and its companion book series, Critical Documents of 20th-Century Latin American and Latino Art. El International Center for the Arts of the Americas, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston se enorgullece de invitar a estudiantes y graduados enrolados en universidades de los Estados Unidos y del exterior a participar en la edición 2019 del  Peter C. Marzio Award for Outstanding Research in 20th-Century Latin American and Latino Art.  Llamado así por aquel, ya fallecido,  que fuera director del MFAH durante mucho tiempo y que fundó el ICAA en el 2001, el premio reconoce el trabajo académico en el campo del arte latinoamericano y latino del siglo XX. Se concederá un premio de $2.500 a un graduado y uno de $1.000 a un estudiante (o mención honorable),  que produzcan trabajos académicos sobresalientes basados como fuente primaria en los materiales recientemente publicados disponibles en el archivo digital Documents of 20th-century Latin American and Latino Art y la serie de libros Critical Documents of 20th-Century Latin American and Latino Art que lo acompaña.
