FIRST STREET GALLERY is pleased to announce SELECTS 2024, a new juried show opportunity for nonmember artists. SELECTS 2024 will offer selected artists the opportunity to show a display of representative works in an installation of their own design.  Each artist will have an exhibition area of approximately 10’H x 10’W of wall space (not necessarily contiguous). Artists with free-standing 3D work will be given the equivalent amount of floor space.  Selected artists may, within reason, use their space in whatever manner they feel shows their work to its best advantage. The Artists’ works will be shown in the gallery, shared on social media, and publicized in communications to the gallery’s extensive contacts nationwide (which include critics, curators and collectors, other artists, and gallery-goers interested in contemporary art).

ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 1, 2023

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to U.S. resident artists, 18 yrs and older.  Exception: Artists currently represented by First Street Gallery and former exhibitors in the Gallery’s "9 for 19" exhibitions, on which this show is modeled.  ELIGIBLE WORKS include ORIGINAL oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, prints, mixed media, photography, and sculpture in any medium. 

 ALL entries must be submitted electronically.  Judging will be done solely from JPEGs.

THE JUROR:  Jill Sarver Rossi.  She is an artist, Senior Curator at Cynthia Byrnes Contemporary Art in Westport, Ct. and Executive Director of Rome Art Program, in Rome, Itally.
