St. Andrew’s School (Rhode Island), is looking for a Massachusetts or Rhode Island based artist interested in working with our students during this upcoming school year. The Visiting Artist is paid $1,500 to spend time teaching select Middle School and/or High School art classes. The time frame is dependent upon the artist’s availability. The artist will work with 3-4 sections (1-2 weeks total...typically at least a week and a half in order to spend enough time with each section). The Visiting Artist comes with either one big project to work with all students on, or several different projects designed for each class. The artist has the opportunity to show their work in our gallery, give a 15 minute artist talk to the school community, and also take part in showcasing student work at the end of their visit.
