Chadron State College’s Art Program and Galaxy Series are accepting exhibition proposal submissions for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years. The exhibitions provide the educational and regional communities with visual art experiences that are aesthetically stimulating and engaging.

 

Location: Chadron State College is in the High Plains of northwest Nebraska and is one of the anchors of the Open Frontier Creative District. To better prepare our students to become future citizens and leaders, CSC fosters engagement with various communities and provides a wide variety of activities that facilitate local, regional, national, and global connections.

 

Eligibility: The proposal process is open to all persons aged 18 and over living in the United States. Solo or group show submissions will be accepted.

 

Exhibition Proposals: Proposals for all forms of visual art, including new media and installations, are encouraged. The exhibition proposals should be professional and cohesive, demonstrate innovative concepts, and be conceptually engaging. Each art exhibition will last approximately four to six weeks and be on display during the academic year. Workshops and gallery talks are also available in conjunction with the exhibit.

 

Chadron State College’s Art Program is interested in providing artist lectures, workshops, and other events that could expand upon the exhibition. Supplemental funding for these events is negotiable. If you are interested in providing additional educational events in addition to the art exhibition, please include this in the exhibition proposal.

 

Gallery Spaces: The Main Gallery is in Memorial Hall and is adjacent to the theater and lobby. The Main Gallery is approximately 1000 square feet and 133 linear feet (wall space). It includes professional display lighting, pedestals, carpet walls, and carpet flooring.

 

Shipping: Chadron State College is prepared to pay for shipping one way up to $1000. The artist will be responsible for additional shipping costs and provide all shipping materials (crates, boxes, etc.).
