The Neon Heater is a contemporary artist-run space in Findlay, OH with monthly exhibitions of conceptual and installation-based works, contemporary photography and painting trends, video and new media.
We are currently seeking proposals for solo artist and small group exhibitions exploring contemporary issues such as identity, the climate, the socio-political landscape, geopolitics, speculative futures, magic and spirituality, fresh starts, and anything in-between that explores, critiques or promotes the present moment.

Please email or share a single .pdf with names, images and project proposal, websites, resume, artist statement to theneonheater@gmail.com with the subject line 2025 Open Call Submission.
A $15 submission fee can be made to our paypal (theneonheater@gmail.com) - the submission fee helps us pay an honorarium to chosen artists. There is a quick button payment on the Open Call page of the website – https://www.theneonheater.com/open-call-2025
Proposals need not be of currently realized work, but in the case of creating future work, please include images and examples of past work.
Images of the space and a layout of the gallery available upon request. Documentation of nearly all exhibitions is available on the website by clicking the show image from the home page.
