Printmaking Artist in Residence with Accommodation - Maastricht, The Netherlands

This program is designed to support emerging & established, national & international artists working in print-based media.

This residency, centrally located in Western Europe, in the vibrant city-center of Maastricht, offers a unique opportunity to dedicate time, energy, and inspiration to your creative practice. Maastricht is the capital city of Limburg Province, the southern-most region of the Netherlands, nestled between Belgium and Germany, renowned for its "Burgundian lifestyle" and lush, rolling landscape.

An important goal of the program is to enrich and engage local/regional communities via a reciprocal exchange of ideas fostered through publicly accessible events such as workshops, print process demonstrations, artists talks, open studio conversations, networking, & collaborative activities.

Striving to generate a holistic and enriching balance within the program, we also include a fresh, private apartment accommodation, located just a short distance away (7km) in the serene, country-side village of Berg en Terblijt, a European destination for hiking & cycling.

The well-equipped printshop is a light-filled, professional space where you can work in a wide range of processes including relief, intaglio, monotype, collagraph, and other contemporary techniques. The shop houses three etching presses, including a new, Veenendaal press for large-format work. The facility also includes a well-maintained, community kitchen & bathrooms.
