CFP: 7th ALAA Triennial (Oct. 8-11, 2026, Seattle)
Type: Calls For Papers [View all]
Posted by: Association for Latin American Art
Deadline: Wed, April 15th, 2026
The Association for Latin American Art (ALAA) invites paper submissions for its 7th Triennial Conference, to be held October 8–11, 2026 at the University of Washington, Seattle.
This conference brings together scholars from all subfields of Latin American and Latinx art around the theme of “Reclamations: The Afro-Asian-Native Turn in the Arts of Latin America.” Inspired by recent scholarship in the field, we welcome methodologies and topics that recast place and identity through polyvocal, relational, and multi-hyphenate frameworks. Scholars do not have to be members of ALAA at the time of submission.
The ALAA Triennial is free and open to the public with prior registration.
CFP Submission deadline: April 15, 2026
