CAA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

CAA’s Annual Conference is the world’s largest gathering of visual arts professionals, convening thousands of practitioners from across the globe to share scholarship and strengthen their practice. The week-long conference features a vast array of disciplines and subjects explored across 900 presentations in over 300 sessions, workshops, exhibits, and special events.  

Whether you choose to sponsor an event or enhance your presence at the Book and Trade Fair, your partnership strengthens our capacity to support emerging and established visual arts professionals whose work deepens historical understanding and shapes contemporary practice.


TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION SPONSOR – $50,000+   

Partner with CAA as we implement a digital transformation to meet the evolving needs of our 21st century global membership. We are investing in the technologies and digital tools that will ensure CAA’s agile response to the professional needs of future visual arts scholars and practitioners. Conference-specific technologies include hybrid sessions with global attendance, and expanded services in the conference mobile app.

CONVOCATION AND PRESIDENT’S RECEPTION SPONSOR – $30,000  

Held in the Grand Ballroom, Convocation set the conference’s celebratory tone with visionary remarks, an awards ceremony, and a keynote address from a world-renowned leader in the field. Previous speakers include artists Wayne Thiebaud, Christo and Jeanne–Claude, award-winning critic David Hickey, and Shelly C. Lowe, Chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

ANNUAL ARTIST INTERVIEWS AND RECEPTION SPONSOR – $30,000  

This event and reception spotlights two world-renowned artists in conversations on their practice. The Annual Artists Interviews are open to the public and always well attended. Previous guests have included Dawoud Bey, Joyce Scott, Postcommodity, Catherine Opie, William Pope L. and Yoko Ono. Your sponsorship supports recognition of the highest level of artistic practice. Ballroom location.

DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR SESSION SPONSOR – $25,000

The Distinguished Scholar Session honors a distinguished career in art history in dialogue with colleagues and former students. Past honorees have included critic and theorist Rosalind Krauss, the ground-breaking thinker Leo Steinberg, Wyeth scholar Wanda Corn, and most recently, feminist scholar S. Hollis Clayson. Ballroom location. 

Benefits include everything listed in Annual Artist Interviews sponsorship. 


SERVICES TO ARTISTS PROGRAMS SPONSOR – $15,000

Services to Artists (SAC) programming is open-access, free to the public exhibitions, events, and workshops developed by artists for artists to support their creative and professional development needs. These robust artist-focused programs include a themed exhibition and reception, portfolio review sessions, art-making workshops, and more. 

Benefits include: 

  • Logo prominently placed at the exhibition, reception, and all SAC programs 
  • Your logo (linked to your website) on Annual Conference website 
  • Two (2) social media shoutouts on LinkedIn and Instagram 
  • Invitation for your staff to exhibition opening and reception and five (5) conference day passes  

ACCESSIBILITY SPONSOR – $10,000

Help ensure greater participation by underwriting Closed Captioning and ASL translation during sessions and major events. 

Benefits include: 

  • Acknowledgment at the start of each major event listed above  
  • Acknowledgement of sponsorship on dedicated sign in on-site registration area 
  • Your logo (linked to your website) on Annual Conference website 
  • Conference day passes for three (3) staff members

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOOK AND TRADE FAIR EXHIBITORS

For exhibitors promoting publications, products, programs, or services at the Annual Conference, we offer Platinum, Gold, or Silver Sponsorship packages to provide maximum visibility to our participants. 

PLATINUM LEVEL – $15,000 

$14,000 of the sponsorship goes toward exhibit support. 

$1,000 is a tax-exempt donation to CAA Pay it Forward – our conference support grants program that helps defray travel costs for members in need. 

Platinum benefits include: 

  • Two (2) standard exhibit booths with prominent placement near the Exhibit Hall entrance 
  • Six (6) all-access conference registrations for your staff 
  • Four (4) social media posts on LinkedIn or Instagram*

CAA’s Annual Conference, an internationally recognized program, is the largest gathering of visual arts professionals and those in higher education in the world. Individuals and representatives of arts organizations from across the globe gather each year to exchange ideas and build community.

The Annual Conference has been the primary venue for CAA’s advocacy for more than 100 years.  Leaders and emerging professionals present their latest original research, share practical and up-to-date information on career development, the newest teaching methods, and artistic practices on the forefront of visual art. The ideas and practices cultivated and presented by CAA members set the standard for visual art professionals. As of 2022, the Annual Conference has been re-envisioned, with in-person, virtual, and recorded content. Providing content both virtually and in person reduces the carbon footprint of the conference, expands access and affordable options for participation, and provides participants with an opportunity for in-person networking and community building. The conference format leverages the latest digital tools for meetings in combination with the traditional in-person event. CAA continues to innovate and employ the latest developments.

Sessions and panels reflect the vast scholarship and practice of CAA members introducing topics at the forefront of the field. This includes an impressive number of sessions focusing on issues related to climate change, women and feminism, social justice and future-focused education.
